[SLE] Running X apps from NT
Hi I'm trying to let NT clients have X-windows access to a Linux (6.1) box using X-WinPro. I have enabled rexecd in inetd.conf, but X-WinPro reports that it cannot open a socket. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Andrew Smith -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

Help? Well, sorta. I don't know X-WinPro. The only suggestion I can give is to use vnc. It is remarkebly stable (much stabler then Exceed), is free, and it is stateless (e.g. you can disconnect your X viewer and reconnect a viewer from another PC.! vnc is on you SuSE distribution (at least, on 6.3 that is) HTH.
