[opensuse] Enigmail setup wizard fatal flaw
In running the Enigmail Setup Wizard, I'm asked to browse for files for it to use. The relevant files are, by default, in ~/.gnupg but the Wizard's file browser doesn't display any directories whose name begins with a period (.), making it impossible to browse to the relevant directory... and so too impossible to accomplish the Setup. Does anyone know a workaround? tnx -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Carlos, for some reason, even after configuring enigmail, I still can't see anything in your email (and, yes, in others' emails also)... just what you see above. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

But my mail is not encrypted. You should be able to see it with and without enigmail. If you don't, maybe your ISP is altering it. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 42.3 x86_64 "Malachite" at Telcontar)

It's working again (as my reply to your post indicates). Maybe I upgraded something or maybe a reboot fixed it. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I had this problem reading Carlos' e-mail as well in 42.2. No matter what I did, his e-mails showed up blank in Tbird (I had to hit Ctrl+U and view the source to read them -- which made replying a pain...) I it something related to the way the signed message is wrapped or signature verified. (it will apply to reading mail more and more people as well) On 42.3 I created a whole new Tbird profile and did not import anything, thankfully Carlos' messages were again readable. -- David C. Well.... If I understand what you are asking, simply Right-Click in the files window of the file-open dialog and select "Show Hidden Files"? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Thanks, David. Enigmail (v.1.9.9) doesn't show that, but I eventually did find it does have a little pencil (?) icon in the upper-left corner of the file selector dialog which, when clicked, allows the user to type in the entire path/filename. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
