[opensuse] rsyslog problem with openSUSE 12.1
Prior to upgrading my loghost from openSUSE 11.4 to 12.1, I had a large number of clients successfully sending their syslog entries to a central loghost. Since upgrading, all remote syslogging has stopped and I don't know why. I see no errors in /var/log messages on either the loghost or the clients. Having the firewall on or off makes no difference. Checking the rsyslog configuration file with % /sbin/rsyslogd -c 5 -f /etc/rsyslog.early.conf -N1 shows no error. Running syslogd in debug mode like this % /sbin/rsyslogd -c 5 -f /etc/rsyslog.early.conf -nd >rsyslog.debug.log produces copious output, but show no errors (that I recognize as errors). Has anyone else using rsyslog to a central loghost and that has upgraded the loghost to openSUSE 12.1 seen any problems??
