[opensuse] Suse 11.2 -- no color in vim
Hello, After installing vim and vim-enhanced, there is no color when editing a file. The vimrc file has 'syntax on', but still no color. I have two separate installs of 11.2 and both have colorless vim sessions. My 11.1 installs are fine. Any ideas on what may cause this and how I can fix it? Thank you, James -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Thank you,

I just tried it on my new 11.2 system. My bash files, at least, show in color. I tried it as a user and as root, and I tried removing .gvimrc and .vimrc -- and got syntax colors each time. What is your file type? Have you tried other file types? Anyway, your problem does not seem to be endemic to 11.2. Maybe it's a KDE problem! (just joking!) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
