./configure problem
I'm trying to install kpsql v1.0, but when I run ./configure I get this right at the end: checking for KDE... configure: error: in the prefix, you've chosen, are no kde headers installed. This will fail. So, check this please and use another prefix! What am I doing wrong? Thanks, Geraint Jones

You are trying to compile something without having the -devel packages installed. For instance kdebase3-devel, kdelibs3-devel etc etc etc. regards Anders -- 'Deserves [death]. I daresay he does. All relevant stuff is installed. I think kpsql is the problem - requirements say KDE1.1+ and I use KDE3. Still, I would have thought it would compile with KDE3 libs. -- Geraint Jones

KDE 1.1 code will not compile with KDE3 headers and libraries. kpsql would have to be ported to KDE3 in order for it to work. Philipp -- Philipp Thomas work: pthomas@suse.de Development SuSE Linux AG private: philippt@t-online.de
