Hey, I am wondering if there is a trick to install 10.1 beta to vmware? I have tried a couple times and grubs keeps giving me an error of 18. First I used the virtual drive setting and the second time I set up a drive 6gigs fixed spaces. It seem to happen after the first disc getting done with insall and reboots to bring up the system the first time. Any help would be great. Payne

Short answer: try anything but beta3 ;-) There are several reports in bugzilla stating that 10.1 beta3 can't be installed in vmWare - just search a bit around ;-) Regards, Christian Boltz --

It can not even be used to upgrade OpenSuSE 10.1 Beta 2. All I get when I attempt to up grade from Beta 2 to Beta 3 is notices that the installation media - CD - can not be found. I also get the same notice when I attempt to install Beta 3. Funny Beta 2 installed but Beta 3 will not. SOTL
