How to stop printer Epson C70 with CUPS
Hello, A friend of mine just gave me his Epson C70 machine I tried it on two PC's and problems on both. On one PC I connected the Epson C70 - Yast2 configuration OK - I make a few tests then suddenly the printer starts printing pages with just a few character. Impossible to kill the spool (lprm does not work anymore and with cups no lpq). What's the cups function to kill the spool? I tried KDE Contro Center the printing is not mentioned. In /var/spool/cusp I erased all files but nothing. Help please! -- Alain Barthélemy cassandre@bartydeux.be http://www.bartydeux.be Linux User #315631

On my Epson C82, I get this kind of behaviour if I turn off the printer halfway through a print. The printer itself seems to be holding some data and switching it off/on, powering it down/up, restarting cups, and deleting spool files all fail to help. What does work is pressing-and-holding two of the control buttons at the same time. On the C82 there are 3 buttons, and the ones I press are the two above the on/off button. I've no idea what a C90 looks like, but perhaps this clue might help you. Steve
