[opensuse] What replaced KAudio Creator
In KDE3 there was KAudio Creator, great for ripping CDs. What replaces that (or where is it) in KDE4 on oS11.2? Thanks, Jim -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Thanks,

It's truly amazing of all the utilities I know and installed before KDE started their own... I've used "grip" for many years and works great. Another example is "xsane" - used since I went to SUSE). (Sorry KDE but Kooka is crap - most of the functions I - require - are NOT in Kooka) Duaine -- Duaine Hechler Piano, Player Piano, Pump Organ Tuning, Servicing & Rebuilding Reed Organ Society Member Florissant, MO 63034 (314) 838-5587 dahechler@att.net www.hechlerpianoandorgan.com -- Home & Business user of Linux - 10 years -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Duaine, what functions are those? Make a list and I will file a bug. Thanks. -- Dotan Cohen http://what-is-what.com http://gibberish.co.il -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Right, I'd forgotten that k3b will do that. I do like k3b for burning etc, but for some reason when I tried it for ripping, I liked kaudiocreator better. Its been a long time now so don't remember specifics. In any case thanks for the tip. I may wind up using it. It's not on the 11.2 media but it is available in the Build Service: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home://j-engel://KDE4/ contains the repos and the package is 'kaudiocreator'.
