I think you have to force a redownload. I mean I think it is transmission error. - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. Err.. Alright, I'll delete the packages from /var/cache/zypp/packages and force a re-download and let you know. Thanks! -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. Dunno what the issue was. I downloaded the files manually and they installed fine with rpm: [22:15 alchemy:/home/david/dt/fluxbox/dcrStyles] # rpm -Uvh libmysqlclient_r15-32bit-5.0.51a-27.6.x86_64.rpm libmysqlclient15-5.0.51a-27.6.x86_64.rpm mysql-tools-5.0.51a-27.6.x86_64.rpm libmysqlclient_r15-5.0.51a-27.6.x86_64.rpm Preparing... ########################################### [100%] 1:libmysqlclient_r15 ########################################### [ 25%] 2:libmysqlclient_r15-32bi########################################### [ 50%] 3:libmysqlclient15 ########################################### [ 75%] 4:mysql-tools ########################################### [100%] [22:16 alchemy:/home/david/dt/fluxbox/dcrStyles] # for i in $(ls *.rpm); do echo -e "\n diff of: $i\n"; diff $i /var/cache/zypp/packages/gwdg-update/rpm/x86_64/$i; done diff of: libmysqlclient15-5.0.51a-27.6.x86_64.rpm diff of: libmysqlclient_r15-32bit-5.0.51a-27.6.x86_64.rpm diff of: libmysqlclient_r15-5.0.51a-27.6.x86_64.rpm diff of: mysql-tools-5.0.51a-27.6.x86_64.rpm Go figure, they are the same -- Something is broken somewhere in the update... -- David C. Carlos, I think the problem was the mysql -> mariaDB bait-and-switch that screwed everything up. Where is the CODE that told my system to install MariaDB instead of the normal mysql that I have been using for years? That didn't happen by itself. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. WHere did you get MariaDB from? It is not even in Factory yet. Have you non-distribution OBS repos added? Ciao, Marcus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Did you use zypper dup? That would have done it (as documented). That and an OBS repo enabled that contains that MariaDB. - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R.
