Please forgive this newbie question. Are you saying to update CUPS or to tell my program to filter the print through sed? If the latter, (here's the dumb question), it says to "enter the following command into the application". How do I do that? I don't see an option to enter a command to run the output through a program like sed

Hi Michael, Presuming you are using SuSE 8.1. The easiest way to overcome the problem is to update CUPS with the experimental version available. I have been running it for a few months without any problems.
