Is anyone using Seamonkey 2.38 successfully?
My Seamonkey is very unstable. If it is crashing (directly during session restore or after some minutes of Web surfing) I always get this exception:
Assertion failure: !mRunningSyncSections, at /home/abuild/rpmbuild/BUILD/seamonkey/mozilla/widget/nsBaseAppShell.cpp:356 #01: ???[/usr/lib64/seamonkey/libxul.so +0x1c24990] #02: ???[/usr/lib64/seamonkey/libxul.so +0xc2eaf0] #03: NS_InvokeByIndex[/usr/lib64/seamonkey/libxul.so +0xc34d42] #04: ???[/usr/lib64/seamonkey/libxul.so +0xfcaad3] #05: ???[/usr/lib64/seamonkey/libxul.so +0xfd060d] #06: ???[/usr/lib64/seamonkey/libxul.so +0x267d255] #07: ???[/usr/lib64/seamonkey/libxul.so +0x267722a] #08: ???[/usr/lib64/seamonkey/libxul.so +0x267ce15] #09: ???[/usr/lib64/seamonkey/libxul.so +0x267d1ae] #10: ???[/usr/lib64/seamonkey/libxul.so +0x267e827] #11: ???[/usr/lib64/seamonkey/libxul.so +0x280933d] #12: ??? (???:???)
I tried both the official Seamonkey online update for openSUSE 13.2 and the update from download.opensuse.org-mozilla repo. Both are crashing.
This seems to be the upstream bug report: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1191713

Yes, but on Tw which is supposedly not discussed here.
My Seamonkey is very unstable. If it is crashing (directly during session restore or after some minutes of Web surfing) I always get this exception:
No crashes or seamonkey hangs since seamonkey update on 14 Oct. Tw, kernel-default-4.2.3

UA ID: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:41.0) Gecko/20100101 SeaMonkey/2.38; Build ID: 20150923215417 (mozilla.org binary) WFM just fine, same as previous releases, with lots and lots and lots of tabs, and email, and using session restore always. KDE3 on 32 bit 13.1. I actually run two separate instances (profiles) of SM (#2 runs CZ and browser windows), plus instances of 3 to 4 different FF versions, all at once, with each's windows on different virtual desktops.

Because nothing else helped I reverted a change between Firefox 39 and 40 and compiled my own copy of Seamonkey and Firefox. See attachment seamonkey-revert-mRunningSyncSections.patch in

Yes, but in my case the problem persisted in Seamonkey 2.39 (without the patch).

Yes, on OS 13.2, KDE The only thing I noticed is a strange delay in display (only part of the frame appears for about half a second before it is drawn completely) and sometimes I feel it is a bit slow(er) or freezes for a moment or two, but this is no way proofed or mesured...

Yes, or yes, previously, upgraded to 2.39 on 11 Nov. Noticed no problems on Tw.
