Is there an IPv6 dhcp server available for openSUSE 13.1? According to online searches, dhcp6s should be available, but I can't find it. RPMfind only has it for 11.4. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

ISC DHCP supports IPv6. It can be installed as part of the dhcp-server package. Brandon Vincent -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I'm not totally sure, but have a look at "dnsmasq" http://www.thekelleys.org.uk/dnsmasq/ http://software.opensuse.org/package/dnsmasq Summary: Dnsmasq is a lightweight, easy-to-configure DNS forwarder and DHCP server. It is designed to provide DNS and, optionally, DHCP, to a small network. It can serve the names of local machines that are not in the global DNS. The DHCP server integrates with the DNS server and allows machines with DHCP-allocated addresses to appear in DNS with names configured either in each host or in a central configuration file. Dnsmasq supports static and dynamic DHCP leases and BOOTP for network booting of diskless machines.
From the man-page: Dnsmasq supports IPv6 for all functions and a minimal router-advertisement daemon.
In my network it puts out both, IPv4 and IPv6 addresses to the clients. - Yamaban. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
