Hi, I installed Alpha1 on x86 and ppc. Both have the same problem: on shutdown (or reboot) the root filesystem cannot be unmounted. If I change /etc/sysconfig/kernel DEV_ON_TMPFS to "no" I get no errors on shutdown. And hiding the error behind a nice splash works, but it's not an acceptable solution. I use xfs. The xfs module is loaded in initramfs. On ppc this does not work: the initramfs is loaded, but the xfs module not. I extracted the cpio and it is in and also the command to load it, but maybe the udevstart is missing or infunctional?). If I use an initrd (mkinitrd -R) it work's. It's the same problem as with RC1. -- mdc
