[S.u.S.E. Linux] xgrabsc
Anyone having any problems with xgrabsc? I tried capturing a screen to PostScript file using the command: xgrabsc > output.ps which is even in the example given in the man page, but I get a core dump. I don't have the time to go through the core dump though. Regards, C. J. Tan ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ C. J. I've always used xwd for screenshots. Gimp can open an xwd image and convert it to postscript, or whatever format you like. I prefer xv for format conversion as it's much faster than gimp, but xv won't open an xwd file. C. J. Kenneth Tan wrote:

Yes, but xwd will only capture one window. I want it to capture a particular section of the screen, which is what I can do with xgrabsc . Regards, C. J. Tan On Sun, 5 Jul 1998, Michael Lankton wrote:

Well, sounds like you've tried the others. Did you try the Image Magick or Gimp screen grab features? On Mon, 6 Jul 1998, C. J. Kenneth Tan wrote:

How do you do that in GIMP? I am not a GIMP user, obviously. Has anyone used xgrabsc at all? I used to use it very often when I was running Linux Universe and it can't be any simpler than typing 'xgrabsc > out.ps' . Thanks a lot. Regards, C. J. Tan On Mon, 6 Jul 1998 hekate@intergate.bc.ca wrote:
