Getting K3b to recognize my dvd writer
I added a dvd r/w drive. I had to add the mount point and /etc/fstab entry myself. Now I want to burn some data to a dvd. K3b will not recognize it as a valid writing device. Here is my /etc/fstab table and mount points. Do I need to specify this dvd r/w drive differently? texeme:~ # cat /etc/fstab /dev/hda3 / reiserfs acl,user_xattr 1 1 /dev/hda1 /windows/C ntfs ro,users,gid=users,umask=0002,nls=utf8 0 0 /dev/hda2 swap swap pri=42 0 0 devpts /dev/pts devpts mode=0620,gid=5 0 0 proc /proc proc defaults 0 0 usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs noauto 0 0 sysfs /sys sysfs noauto 0 0 /dev/dvd /media/dvd subfs fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0 /dev/dvdrw /media/dvdrw subfs fs=cdfss,rw,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0 /dev/fd0 /media/floppy subfs fs=floppyfss,procuid,nodev,nosuid,sync 0 0 texeme:~ # texeme:~ # mount /dev/hda3 on / type reiserfs (rw,acl,user_xattr) proc on /proc type proc (rw) tmpfs on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw) devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,mode=0620,gid=5) /dev/hda1 on /windows/C type ntfs (ro,noexec,nosuid,nodev,gid=100,umask=0002,nls=utf8) /dev/hdc on /media/dvd type subfs (ro,nosuid,nodev,fs=cdfss,procuid,iocharset=utf8) /dev/fd0 on /media/floppy type subfs (rw,nosuid,nodev,sync,fs=floppyfss,procuid) /dev/hdd on /media/dvdrw type subfs (rw,nosuid,nodev,fs=cdfss,procuid,iocharset=utf8)
