[opensuse] wireless connection with laptop acer Ferrari 4000 under suse11 (using Broadcom BCM418 802.11g)

Does anybody know how to configurate such hardware? To be more precise I'm working on a laptop acer Ferrari4000 serie, using a Broadcom BCM4318 AirForceOne 54g; under suse10.2 it worked (approximatively) with ndiswrapper, but how does it go with suse11?

pan0 seems to be some sort of software driver. Its manfacturer code is in a range (16:) reserved for private devices. Your wlan0 is actually manufactured by Hon Hai Precision Ind. Co., Ltd. (probably under license). Vmaster? I have no clue. The only reference I've ever seen has to do with sound control in the linux kernel. Its almost like network setup is picking up some oddball devices an thinking they are network cards. As for pan0, that is usually a bluetooth device capable of acting as a nic. Ok thanks for answer Now I'm stll unable to connect by wi-fi; I'm using knetworkManager instead of ndiswrapper and after install firmware files with install_bcm43xx_firmware KwiFiManager tells he is conected with router but he is unable to detect an acces point (IP locale) A strange thing is that in yast->network-parameters->config-wlan0->hardware kernel module is ssb instead of bcm43xx as with suse10.2 And command dhcpcd eth0 gives: err, wlan0: timed out warn, wlan0: using IPV4ALL address 169.254.57.89 And connection with internet is not possible Any suggestion? pan0 seems to be some sort of software driver. Its manfacturer code is in a range (16:) reserved for private devices.
Your wlan0 is actually manufactured by Hon Hai Precision Ind. Co., Ltd. (probably under license).

I'd ignore it.
As for pan0, that is usually a bluetooth device capable of acting as a nic. You might be able to turn that feature off on your bluetooth since I don't believe you will find much use for it.
