[opensuse] How to play embedded media in openoffice?
Hi, I'm trying to setup openoffice in openSuSE 11.1 to make it play embedded media (sounds and videos) in presentations, but can't make it work. fmj is installed, but no sound is heard. How do I make this work? Thanks, Marcelo -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It should just work. I had issues with OOo 1.x, but since 2.0 things have been fine. Here's a file I originally created in 2.4 - http://www.perfectreign.com/stuff/2008/Test_Sound.odp This is a similar file with sound created in powerpoint 2003, which I tend to use more then OOo, simply because powerpoint runs faster even under crossover office... http://www.perfectreign.com/stuff/2008/Test_Sound.ppt -- kai www.perfectreign.com | www.ecmplace.com www.twitter.com/PerfectReign -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Strange, the powerpoint file indeed played sounds, but the odp one did not :/ []'s Marcelo -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I've run several more tests and some files play sounds, others don't. Maybe it has something to do with the type of the embedded media. []'s Marcelo -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
