I use smbmount in a local shell script which gets called as one of the last things depending on what init level I start up in (usually 5): /usr/bin/smbmount //<share name>/<dir> /mnt/<your mountpoint> -o username=<user who has full write perms to share>,password=<password>,ip=<ip addr> <cr> This is how we do it at the office, and in addition, since the link can fail over a period of time, we normally have a small shell script which runs as a cron job which writes the date and time to the mountpoint to ask as a keepalive every 5 mins. -Bill
