[opensuse] Finger printer reader (138a:0018, "Validity Sensors")?
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 138a:0018 Validity Sensors, Inc The finger print reader in my laptop is not recognized; running the setup in YaST says there are no devices. yast2-fingerprint-reader-2.22.3-2.1.3.x86_64 libfprint0-0.3.0-12.1.2.x86_64 There is an implementation @ https://github.com/andree182/vfs301/ for this device. No, but I have an Bus 001 Device 004: ID 138a:0007 DigitalPersona, Inc Also not working. Since it's not critical for me, I didn't reseach much, but I tried it the same way as you, with the same result. FWIW.
