Dear All,
I have the latest webmin installed on my Suse8. It works fine on my Opera7 except the file manager does not work in webmin on Opera7 or Netscape 4.79. I decided to try my luck with it on Mozilla and Netscape6 but it will not connect. How do I get Netscape6 to open my webmin? I have researched this already and so far the few others who had the same problem did not get any solutions. Any help here will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

What is the response you get when trying to connect using Moz or Netscape 6.x ?
Remember, that you need to prefix the Webmin host address with "http://" as many browsers do not default the protocol to http when specifying a port (other than 80).
So, this should work with any browser: http://mybox:10000
Hope this helps.

I have exactly the same problem.
Webmin works fine, but when I access the FILE MANAGER in webmin from a linux box, either through Konquere or Mozilla then there is a JAVA program/file that is needed.
Konquere just returns an error while Mozilla connects to a website to download the JAVA file. Mozilla downloads the required java file to run file manager but when it tries to install it - I get a "access denied" error.
I have tried running Mozilla as root user and this gets me a little further. It downloads the required JAVA file and then installs it, not returning the access denied message. But it still doesn't work, next time I access the file manager it wants to download the java program all over again.
Has anyone else experienced these problems?
Dan.
