Do you need a Python interface in mozilla? If not, just remove python-xpcom191 and check if it still happens. Wolfgang -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Wolfgang yep still seg faults, just gives a shorter message.

OK, tried this: Uninstalled Firefox, did rm -fr ~/.mozilla/firefox, then re- installed Firefox. Received same message as above. So. I logged out of KDE 4.4 and into KDE 3.5 and Firefox starts up as it should. Evidently the problems revolves around the KDE 4 environment (surprise?). Curtis. -- BEWARE! Or, much more likely, the problem is something to do with your *installation* as Firefox works fine here and on many other installations. rpm -q MozillaFirefox kdebase4 MozillaFirefox-3.6.0-1.2.x86_64 (note.. openSUSE build) kdebase4-4.3.95-144.1.x86_64 -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

rpm -q MozillaFirefox kdebase4 MozillaFirefox-3.5.6-1.1.1.i586 kdebase4-4.3.95-144.1.i586 Maybe its the google apps.... but then why would it seg fault in K4 and not K3? I guess I'm a bit lost (alots changed with both the way I understood kde and Linux/SuSEn structure now). I used to be able to troubleshoot before but lately I don't really get anywhere. What should I do or be looking for/at? I think it really is a KDE 4.x issue since now when I start kde 3 I get a double desktop. Both the expected kde3/kwin desktop and the kde 4 plasma-desktop, which I have to kill (e.g. I get two panels/taskbars, etc). Why plasma would load when executing the kde 3 login has me baffled. Any ideas about what I should look for or check. TIA, Curtis. -- BEWARE! Spammers will be shot, survivors will be shot again! Do you have qtcurve-kde4 installed? If so, try installing it. It is known to cause issues Anders -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

rpm -q qtcurve-kde4 qtcurve-kde4-1.0.1-23.1.i586 Did you me Uninstall it? Cheers, Curtis -- BEWARE! Spammers will be shot, survivors will be shot again! Yes, I meant uninstall. Removing qtcurve-gtk2 might also make more sense, for a gtk application Anders -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
