Thats the same line I see twice when booting. When I do an ifconfig after that it's still not there. (obviously)
I figured whenever I get a problem like "SIOCSIFFLAGS: try again" -- means my kernel does not have support for the device. Just a few questions to ask yourself: Did you include suport for your card in kernel? If you did, did you compile and install the modules? When you run "dmesg" do you see your card identified?

# lsdev --> any conflicting ports or IRQs?
