[SLE] Realplayer G2 and SuSE 6.3
Hi Has anyone got Realplayer G2 working with SuSE 6.3? If so, is it straight forward to install? I have got an alpha version of the generic binary for kernel 2.2. What install procedure did you use? Is it stable enough to use? Thanks Rich

application/ms-tnef attachment: stored
N§²æìržzǧué[h²ë)îÅ맲æìržzˬyÊ&ÚuØÚÊ&©Ý²Ç§ué[h²ë)îÅè^.±ç([(rØ^¶m§ÿðÃ.±ç(ô®Š+·ðèïÅ

I followed the directions ;). Two notes: ALSA doesn't always get along nicely with the G2 player, and the Netscape plugin is broken. Other then that, it works reasonably well for me. -- -=|JP|=- Jon Pennington | Atipa Linux Solutions -o) jpennington@atipa.com | Kansas City, MO /\\ 816-241-2641 x121 | http://www.atipa.com _\_V -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

Something that doesn't exist can't be broken (at least we don't know) :-) G2 for Linux simply has no plugin. That was promised for the next beta version. But now that Creative announced that they will offer a Realplayer7 for Linux within 30 days, my hope's on that, as it will (hopefully) come with a plugin. That would allow me once again to use some netradio sites like netradio.com that insist on using their own weblet (probably because it gives them more space for advetising) and require a Realaudio plugin. Yes, I just followed the directions... JLK -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
I have done a full install of 7.2 on two seperate systems and on both, the Apache JServer doesn't seem to start properly. It does say that it is starting on boot and I can start it manually as root but still using localhost or the ip address for the workstation fails to access the webserver. On shutdown, the system reports that it fails to stop the service, probably because it is not running :-( Done a search on the SuSe site for guidance on this but not sucessful. Also, RTFM on the rcapache command, etc. Also, if anyone has any clues on the nis stuff as that seems to startup okay but on shut down, it fails to stop. TIA Clint
