Mozilla Mail (probably Thunderbird but I'm not sure) and Netscape Mail support SMIME. -- Joe Morris New Tribes Mission Email Address: Joe_Morris@ntm.org Registered Linux user 231871

hummmm, I got 15200 hits for "mail user agent smime" and 1730 for "mua smime" from google. I prefer mutt, but smime is a configuration issue, not a support issue. -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/photos

Not true. The MUA has to have the support for it. I used to use smime (now gpg). Mozilla added support for it in IIRC .98. Netscape 4 used to support it, 6 series did not. -- Joe Morris New Tribes Mission Email Address: Joe_Morris@ntm.org Registered Linux user 231871

ISC, and mutt does support smime: +CRYPT_BACKEND_CLASSIC_SMIME -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/photos

I will try mutt as I have used it before. Maybe I will just use gnupg for the moment until I can sort smime out. I have a thawte key and would love to use it. Sean
