Dear all, because our system running SLES8 stopped working we powered it off. Then the new boot phase is hanging during the execution of the /etc/init.d/rc5.d/S01random script. At our console the following message appears: Initializing random number generator /etc/init.d/rc5.d/S01random line 54: dd if=/dev/urandom of=$random_seed count=1 bs=512 2>/dev/null Segmentation fault After we rebooted into Single User Mode stopped the sshd service we were able to bring the system into Run Level 3. Is there any way to repair our system that it will become up as before? TIA, Rainer Blaes, EADS Space, Bremen (Germany)
