I was under the impression that the Astra 1220S came with a "bundled" SCSI card. I have a Scanmaker X6el that came with a AHA 2902 card (25 pin). It works very well, but did cost $225.
Regards,
The Astra comes with a proprietary ISA scsi card that has no internal header connector, only a single db25 external connector. If you can get the right scsi info about the chipset, you probably could get it to work under Linux, but for all intents and purposes, it is a "windows-only" scsi card. It is worth about $5, and UMAX includes it just to get you going. - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
