hello i installed ntop in my suse 9.2 system, but for some reason i cant get it to run, ive dont eht ntop -A -u wwwrun as required but it keeps shutting down, the only error i get to see is Sun Jan 16 22:22:40 2005 Checking eth0 for additional devices Sun Jan 16 22:22:40 2005 Resetting traffic statistics for device eth0 Sun Jan 16 22:22:40 2005 DLT: Device 0 [eth0] is 1, mtu 1514, header 14 Sun Jan 16 22:22:40 2005 Initializing gdbm databases Sun Jan 16 22:22:40 2005 **FATAL_ERROR** ....open of nobody/addressQueue.db failed: File open error Sun Jan 16 22:22:40 2005 1. Is another instance of ntop running? Sun Jan 16 22:22:40 2005 2. Make sure that the user you specified can write in the target directory any ideas?? Matice

Like it says, make sure that the wwwrun user has write access to /var/lib/ntop Scott -- POPFile, the OpenSource EMail Classifier http://popfile.sourceforge.net/ Linux 2.6.8-24.10-default x86_64
