RE: [SLE] SuSE 8.1 MySQL server segmentation fault
Sorry, I don't have an answer to that. I have MySQL on two servers, AMD and PIII, and it works OK on those. Anyone running MySQL over SuSE 8.1 on a P4? /Henrik -----Original Message----- From: Alfredo Figueroa [mailto:afigueroa@expressmail.net] Sent: 3. huhtikuuta 2003 20:19 To: suse-linux-e@suse.com Subject: Re: [SLE] SuSE 8.1 MySQL server segmentation fault I have the same problems I must make the observation that alone it happens me if the server this installed in a pentuim 4 if I install it in amd athlon or pentiun 2 doesn't give me those problems some suggestion ----- Original Message ----- From: "Hahnsson Henrik" <henrik.hahnsson@secwell.com> To: <suse-linux-e@suse.com> Sent: Friday, January 24, 2003 1:34 AM Subject: RE: [SLE] SuSE 8.1 MySQL server segmentation fault I experienced the same problems. There seems to be a problem with the MySQL distributed with the 8.1. Remove it and go to www.mysql.com and download the latest stable and install. It works fine. /Henrik -----Original Message----- From: Cvetan Filev [mailto:ceco@anons.bg] Sent: 22. tammikuuta 2003 17:44 To: suse-linux-e@suse.com Subject: [SLE] SuSE 8.1 MySQL server segmentation fault Hi. Probably someone asked already about this. I upgraded my SuSE 8.0 to SuSE 8.1 and the folowing packages are now installed: mysql-shared-3.23.52-44 mysql-client-3.23.52-44 mysql-3.23.52-44 libgcc-3.2-36 libstdc++-3.2-36 I started mysql and tried to connect. When I connected to localhost everything was OK. When I connected to " -h my.host.com " (that is the network interface) the server died with the message: /usr/bin/safe_mysqld: line 274: 25703 Segmentation fault $NOHUP_NICENESS $ledir/$MYSQLD $defaults --basedir=$MY_BASEDIR_VERSION --datadir=$DATADIR $USER_OPTION --pid-file=$pid_file --skip-locking
$err_log 2>&1
Number of processes running now: 1 mysqld process hanging, pid 25706 - killed 030122 17:22:12 mysqld restarted and the client said : ERROR 2013: Lost connection to MySQL server during query Can someone help me with this. -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
