[opensuse] camera flash chip no longer automounts
Just noticed in 12.1, inserting my camera CF chip into the reader no longer automagically mounts the device. I updated from 11.4 where this worked and expected it to continue. What steps are necessary to regain that capability. tks, -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

add-info: in a system where 12.1 was installed to bare metal, the automounting does work....... Why would the upgrade fail? tks, -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Patrick, I read somewhere on the net that there is a problem with automounting on KDE 4.7 when I was chasing up on this problem myself. There is a bug in "System Policies" which is causing the problem. I can't remember any more on the problem. I suggest you google "kde 4.7 system policies automounting USB" or something like that, to get more details. -- Regards, Graham Smith -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
