Hi: Is KDE 2.1.1 a big improvement over KDE 2.1? I see that some SuSE users are having some difficulties with the installation. If the hanging on logout is fixed I might be tempted to download it, even though it is a chore over a 56k modem. KDE 2.1 was allmost 100 Mb. -- Cheers, Jonathan

I don't believe it has any new features. You're probably going to want to go check out the ChangeLog

I believe that there are some new configuration options in the fonts section. Other than that, I have not found anything new. I have not looked at the changelog yet. - v -- Victor R. Cardona vcardona@home.com "Behold the keyboard of Kahless, the greatest Klingon code warrior that ever lived!"

Hi all I thought that qt-experimental was only there until qt-2.3.0 came out. Is this a necessary package when upgrading to KDE 2.1.1 or should it be left out in favour of qt-2.3.0.rpm Stu

I had qt-experimental installed to begin with. I went ahead and installed the new qt-experimental, and all went well. I am assuming that the new qt-2.3.0 RPM have the anti-aliasing built in, but I cannot confirm that. - v -- Victor R. Logging out is a bit faster. Also the annoying slapsh screen lockup seems to have been fixed as well. There are some nice improvements, but nothing major. - v -- Victor R. Cardona vcardona@home.com "Behold the keyboard of Kahless, the greatest Klingon code warrior that ever lived!"
