Well no one has said this yet so I will.
Well, you can "say it" but that doesn't mean what you've "said" is true.
The corporations and school systems who are choosing to back a linux product in America, have chosen Redhat because it is an American Product. It's that simple.
I am a systems analyst for my state government, and former school teacher. I use and advocate SuSE. Your statement is false. QED.
Well, one or two isolated cases out of the whole dosn't disprove an assertion. Did your state government choose SuSe????? That is my proof. Did IBM choose to give support to Suse as well as Redhat? Did the other assorted American corporations who recently threw support behind Redhat, also endorse Suse????? Or any other linux variant? Let us know whether your state government makes the choice, then you tell us why the descision went the way it did. I will be "happily redfaced" if they choose Suse, and say "right-on". But if they choose Redhat, I will say "told you so". The assertion I made is indeed a personal observation and "speculation"; but others have said before me. Also conversely, I would expect German ,and other European corporations and organizations, would choose Suse over Redhat. Wouldn't it be great if we could all be this eloquent in answering operating system questions? :-) - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
