Victor, This is a boot problem of sorts. I don't know all the details of how the boot process works, but try looking at the LILO documentation and perhaps running LILO. I usually compile my new kernels to boot from floppy till I get it working the way I want, then I go look in the book for all my scratched in notes to configure it to boot from the NT boot loader.
