yast in others langauges
I need sometimes to start the Graphical version of yast (to know the options name, make screenshots...) in other langages. Usually, to do such things I open an xterm, change LANG and launch the program however, when I do this with yast, I have only the ncurse ui of yast. How can I * lauch yast in an xterm with graphical ui * or have different yast langage without changing the main language setting NB: changing langage in kde don't works (yast is still in french, evben with kde in english, even as root) thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://dodin.org/galerie_photo_web/expo/index.html http://lucien.dodin.net http://fr.susewiki.org/index.php?title=Gérer_ses_photos

Launch yast2 instead ;-)

# LANG=es_ES.UTF-8 LC_ALL=es_ES.UTF-8 yast2

It depends on the locale of root, I think. - -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.0 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Made with pgp4pine 1.76 iD8DBQFEdfYptTMYHG2NR9URAt4HAJ4rh08Jb95mx/2eoBmu6aige0ZDaACeK492 QKtuAOFDy8htXlQK2D/0c6A= =BhJM -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
