I just tried viewing the same web page under KDE 2.2beta in Konqueror and also in Netscape. In Konqueror I get anti-aliasing and a sans-serif font; in Netscape I get a serif font and no anti-aliasing (checked it with xmag). Any ideas on what I should check out to account for the difference? Paul
Currently only QT (which KDE uses at its core) support AA. Applications
need to be modified in order to support AA. Netscape was not modified (and
probably will never be). Maybe Mozilla will support it in the future, who
knows.

I'm not sure if I understand what your question is, but here are some attempts to answer either possibility: - You can make Konqi use a serif font by going into it's properties, clicking on "Konqueror Browser" and then clicking "Fonts." Change the default font. - It is possible to get Netscape 6 to be antialiased, AFAIK. I believe either Netscape 6 or it's Mozilla counterpart is based on GTK, and there is an experimental AA patch for GTK available. -Tim -- ----------------------------------------------------------------- Timothy R.
