SuSE 10.0 not responding to "shutdown-r now"
What could be the reason for Linux not executing a shutdown -r now triggered by root user? I updated via YOU my SuSE 10.0 (open suse distro), everything went fine, after that, since the kernel was updated, I proceeded to run shudown, the usual message appears but nothing happens. Any clues? Regards, Martin -- Dinamica - RADical J2EE framework open source, easy and powerful http://www.martincordova.com

Hi Martin, - When you say "nothing happens" do you mean the system just ignores the command? You can continue happily computing away, no problems? - Is there anything in the logs? - How long have you tried waiting? What is the result? IOW, can you please try to describe this problem with more detail? TIA & regards, - Carl
