Hi all Does anyone have an eMachines em250 KAV60 i have one here that belongs to a friend that runs fine for about 3 to 4 minuets then if you are watching the processor usage it drops to zero the mouse still moves the pointer but nothing else works and the only way of switching it off is to force a shutdown by holding the power button down anyone got any ideas . If it's more than a couple years old desktop model, it probably has a time bomb for a power supply. When the PS goes, it kills the motherboard in the process. The problem maybe there. Try booting it with a Linux live CD/USB stick and see if it still has the same problem. Mihira. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

You could just use an external USB cd rom and boot it off a live CD... Mihira. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
