Dear Susers, I updated the kernel to kernel-default-2.6.8-24.5.i586.rpm on a friends laptop, because I had read that there were problems with the stock kernel of Suse 9.2 pro. Now I can't seem to find the matching kernel-source package anywhere on the Suse website or using google. The only package I found on the Suse site was the kernel-source-2.6.8-24.10.i586.rpm I want to install the sources to be able to compile the smartlink modem drivers using slmodem-2.9.9-alsa.tar.gz Do I have to install the kernel-default-2.6.8-24.10.i586.rpm and the matching source package or where can I find the ~24.5 package? Thanks. Gustav Degref.

Now it should be .11, and that would be best since those updates are security updates. Otherwise, .5 is in the 9.2 tree, not update tree. -- Joe Morris New Tribes Mission Email Address: Joe_Morris@ntm.org Registered Linux user 231871
