Good day, Just moved to an area where DSL is very unlikely to end up within the next few years and so have settled on dual dial up as the most cost effective solution as standard dial up sucks in this day and age... So far I have discovered that the standard SuSE needed multilink PPP to be compiled in as a module, now I need to configure it...How? I noticed that through Yast one can specify an option or options for PPPD (and I assume multilink should go here), but what about the SuSE firewall? I have PPP0 specified as the external device, with two modems would there be two external devices or will multilink place in another /dev/ device that can be used as the external device? Many thanks, Matt PS Did Curtis make it to San Diego OK? :P

<snipped> Now seems to be working, I think a SuSE kernel recompile is needed for PPP multilink, after that its actually pretty easy. Edit the file /etc/ppp/options and enter the line "multilink". Save and exit and then connect the first modem. Then once thats connected do an "ifup ppp1" and all is set. In var/log/messages you should get something like: Plugin passwordfd.so loaded.
