Webadmin for the customer available?
I have some customers who want to maintenance their server by themselves, but I do not like to give them the root access. All they need is to add / delete users , or modify them. However, I need that in different languages!!! from the web!!! Does anybody have a hint for that? bye Ronald Ronald Wiplinger (ÃQ¤¯¯Ç), CEO, ELMIT - The Solution Provider Tel. +886 2 8809-7980, Fax. +886 2 2809-0183, Mobile: +886 915 653-452 Net2Phone:8869550066, ICQ: 111651169 http://www.elmit.com http://www.wiplinger.org
webmin can do what you want. you can setup users with privileges to add and delete users and set which range of users they can manage and also what other services they can manage. On Tue, 4 Sep 2001, Ronald Wiplinger wrote:

Wasn't Webmin on the SuSE 7.1 distro? Not in 7.2. M
Hello, No webmin wasn't include in any SuSE distribution. You can download every time a new version of webmin 1 or 2 month after a new SuSE. Webmin is very practice but do not include ProFTPD, the module for the apache is not good. Don't include Qmail, but is very cool for users quota. I do not think it was on 7.1. I have downloaded it from www.webmin.com each time i do a clean install of a new suse version. Its a pretty nice configuration utility for samba an other things. have only used it for samba myself. I setup the basic config an then go in an tweak by hand til i get it going the way i like. jack malone Network Administrator EAST TEXAS LIGHTHOUSE FOR THE BLIND dba HORIZON INDUSTRIES 903-595-3444 http://www.horizonind.com

I've used it before (when my main PC ran Windows) and think it's very good. Must have downloaded it myself. It'd be a nice addition to SuSE 7.3. M
