[opensuse] PCIe SATA card with Marvell 88sx7042 chip no longer working
Hello, I have 4-port PCIe SATA cards with Marvell 88sx7042 chip. Those cards worked for several years on an older AMD box with 12.X opensuse. Now I have upgraded to an Intel MB Z170-A an Opensuse Leap. With this new setup, those cards won't worl anymore. Sometimes, the system hangs during the boot process. Sometimes, the system boots, but when a disk is conntected to one of the card's ports (they are hot-pluggable), the detection of the disk won't work correctly. Not enough info to work on - if nobody has the same card or chip, you'll need to look into what happens when the module is loaded etc. /Per
