[opensuse] Google maps doesn't work in Chromium?
OK, this is an odd one... Google Maps does not work for me in Chromium on openSUSE 12.1. It works fine in the latest Firefox though. By "doesn't work" I mean the Mpas page loads, but I cannot search and display any maps... it just freezes on the default map. If you click a map link it will load the map at whatever resolution/zoom the map was set to, but you cannot interact with the map in any way. Anyone else running into this problem? Could it be related to Java? (I've removed OpenJDK... too many things don't work with OpenJDK... and installed OracleJava 1.6 and 1.7) C. -- openSUSE 12.1 x86_64, KDE 4.9.0 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

No problem here: Version 22.0.1226.0 (149858)

It does use buttloads of Javascript though. When you fart around removing OpenJDK, you end up removing the Java browser plugins and so on... I just mentioned it as a possible source of what's wrong on my end... that is the only thing I really changed when it went from working to not working. Hmmm I just tried updating to Chromium v23 with a newer libv8 and Chromium stopped working altogether - even with a clean profile. Rolled back to Chromium v22 with the default libv8 and everything works again except Google Mpas. I can live with using ijust the maps in Firefox :-P until I have more time to poke at it and get it working right.
