What settings?
Sorry, I was in a rush when I did that. The settings in kpowersave. Are there are other settings I need to look at?
using tpctl, but it said that some directories were missing.
What did it say was missing?
"tpctl: Neither /dev/thinkpad/thinkpad nor /dev/thinkpad exists. Exiting."
have no idea what else I may need to install to make it work. I had slackware on this recently with no problems, and v10.1 before with no problems....any ideas?
There should be a thinkpad package. Search Smart Package Manager for "thinkpad." and make sure that's installed.
All of the thinkpad packages that where on the install DVD are installed. And, since I have no idea how to use smart package, that doesn't help me. I don't believe that it comes on the install DVD. I have heard of it. My question is why is this necessary package no longer available from the install like it was in v10.1? I have also seen that there are some issues with v10.3 and thinkpads, but I haven't figured out how to make use of any of the suggestions I have found.
