Got to the linux prompt and tried "3" but it was unrecognized. Did get into sax2 and made some adjustments. The "linux prompt" is supposed to be the boot prompt that you first get when booting the PC.
It jumps to Suse 9.2 or to Suse 9.2 (Safe) options, how do I force the start up into a boot prompt only, please? I have forgotten since Suse has been running on my other laptop/notebook for quite a while without the need to mess with things at this level. Which is where it is supposed to be, all you need to do is type a 3 and hit enter because you are at the boot prompt. When you select "safe" mode do you not see other options entered for you on the boot prompt line?
