I tried using tripwire (included with SuSE 8.2) and it has some rather outdated configuration files (Red Hat 7.0!). Is there another software that is "preferred", ie more up to date and better supported by SuSE? Thanks
I found that AIDE (Advanced Intrusion Detection Environment) works good with Suse 8.2. It is included in the pro package or you can download it from there site. http://www.cs.tut.fi/~rammer/aide.html Cj "I generally avoid temptation -- unless I can't resist it." I use AIDE as well. It has numerous features not found in the public version of tripwire. Very easy to use. - -- Thomas Jones Linux-Howtos Network Administrator OpenGPG Key: 0x6A3DF6E9 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2-rc1-SuSE (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+6y0oQT2komo99ukRAlUbAKDKV44NE3x6n5OPyc0slLUxy9xqQgCgi6JQ V4u5D+JNMPfrG8irxLwjl54= =bPuM -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
