It does contain 4.4.0.1 since a few days, but that still fails to build. So the actual repo still has 4.3.5.2. But again, the packages from this repo will be submitted to Factory anyway and should show up in Tumbleweed some days later. Actually, it does contain 4.4.0.2 in the meantime (for Factory): http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/LibreOffice:/Factory/openSUSE_Fact... But to repeat again, you will get this via the standard Tumbleweed repo anyway after the packages have gone through review and openQA. That I did. There doesn't appear to be a Tw repo published anymore ??? https://build.opensuse.org/package/show?project=openSUSE%3AFactory&package=libreoffice http://software.opensuse.org/package/libreoffice advertises 4.4.01 as the "official" Tw release but following the "official realse" url provides only standard build which points to Factory and 4.3.5 ??? Remember that Factory and Tumbleweed are still "supposed" to be the same entities, unless I missed anouncement of the impending separation. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

LibreOffice:Stable has been completely removed recently. LibreOffice:4.3 does not really supersede it, as that one only ever will contain LO 4.3.x of course. At the moment there's also LibreOffice:Factory which contains the latest version for submission to Factory. And probably there'll be a LibreOffice:4.4 in the near future, for LibreOffice 4.4.x. See also: https://en.opensuse.org/LibreOffice#Update_to_Latest_Version But why do you even need any additional repo on Tumbleweed? You get the latest version from LibreOffice:Factory automatically via the standard repos anyway (just a few days later, after testing). I only had http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/LibreOffice:/Stable/openSUSE_Tumbl... as my repro. i looked for others because it disappeared and i thought it was gone forever. I've not used any Factory repos, i thought it best just to stick to Tumbleweed ones. Shouldn't the open_SUSE_Tumbleweed repro stay intact and just get updated rather than deleted and recreated?
Kind Regards, Wolfgang

All the LibreOffice "stable" repos are gone since months. Instead we have 4.3 repos, and eventually 4.4. There are LibreOffice "factory" repos, but the term "factory" here does not mean the opensuse factory release. It refers to LO factory, and there are for 13.1, 13.2, and tumbleweed/factory. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 13.1 x86_64 "Bottle" at Telcontar)

Thanks. For me, the libreoffice tumbleweed only disappeared recently. Seems i've misunderstood what Tumbleweed is all about. I assumed it was a rolling release and was to be identified by having Tumbleweed in the names of the repos to make it easy to find them. I've now changed it the LO repo to Factory so it gives me a confusing array of repo names. Aren't standards a wonderful idea, i hope that one day we can stick to one. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

In order to stay current on LO while using Tumbleweed, you only need the plain-main Tumbleweed repositories. You do not need any repo with Tumbleweed or Factory on the name, because plain Tumbleweed should contain basically the same LO version. Currently Tumbleweed is just factory after passing a battery of automated tests. And projects like LO at oS normally pass all they make to the factory repository. My understanding is that the purpose of the LO-factory repo is mostly for users of the stable releases (oS 13.1 and 13.2) to test and use the newest and untested version of LO, basically the same one that TW users like you get, while the rest of the distribution remains older. IMHO, the LO-factory repo should be named differently, like LO-testing, or shiny, or newest or something. If you look in a browser at http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/LibreOffice:/Factory/ you see: [DIR] Parent Directory - [DIR] SLE_11_SP3/ 13-Jan-2015 14:34 - [DIR] SLE_12/ 13-Jan-2015 14:17 - [DIR] openSUSE_13.1/ 13-Jan-2015 17:50 - [DIR] openSUSE_13.2/ 13-Jan-2015 15:55 - [DIR] openSUSE_Factory/ 17-Jan-2015 04:54 - See? The word "factory" doesn't have the same meaning on both lines. However. http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/LibreOffice:/Factory/openSUSE_Fact... --> libreoffice-4.4.0.2-231.4.x86_64.rpm 16-Jan-2015 21:12 66M http://download.opensuse.org/factory/repo/oss/suse/x86_64/ --> libreoffice-4.3.5.2-1.2.x86_64.rpm 30-Dec-2014 13:56 66M http://download.opensuse.org/tumbleweed/repo/oss/suse/x86_64/ --> libreoffice-4.3.5.2-1.2.x86_64.rpm 30-Dec-2014 13:56 66M Seems like Factory has been frozen for two weeks. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. great, thanks. I didn't realise that, it certainly makes a Tumbleweed repo in LO redundant and pointless. I'll just remove the repo completely from my set up.
