Hi, There was some discussion of this a while back but no solution to a particular problem came out of it. Months ago an initial install of Star Offce 5.1 (from the 6.2 distribution) failed. I let it go (too much else to do). Now when I come to re-install I get an "This installation has expired please reinstall" message after a fresh install. I deleted the sofficerc and users.rdb from home but have the same problem. Where else does the profram record the previous failed install? It would seem that although the installation failed the date has been recorded somewhere and is being referred to by the current set up process. How can I track where it is looking so that I can either edit or delete teh old date record and thus et teh damn thing installed. Thanks in hope Francesco PS I tried a mail to sunand star months ago and the reply was basically tough titty. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq

Until now I don't know the Serial Number..(maybe it's not free) Friday, June 30, 2000, 9:58:54 PM, you wrote: F> Hi, F> There was some discussion of this a while back but no solution to a F> particular problem came out of it. You can delete the .sversionrc from your home directory. This might clear the problem up. * Francesco (fgs@epulse.net) [000630 14:03]:
