I can't reproduce, it works fine here. The "kill the keyboard" I find interesting. Can you do anything at all with it? If you press the caps lock key, does the LED work? If you press ctrl-alt- F1, do you get a text login? Are you sure it's not that there is a popup window somewhere in the background that steals the input? There is a slight annoyance that popups, even those that demand attention by stealing the focus, are sometimes displayed in apparently random locations, including on other virtual desktops. Could this be it? If you kill kaddressbook before it has had a chance to save its work, then clearly this work will be lost. That is not a bug. Have you tried clicking "save" before exiting the application? Anders -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Anders Hi Anders
Well i did look for "hidden popups" i have had that before but could not see any hiding but i am unable to do anything about them if there was While the mouse still moves it does nothing at all no desktop change or menu selection both mice move the pointer the builtin touch pad and my external Logitech wireless mouse (same batteries for 4 years) so at the moment i am at a loss which is very annoying as i badly need to update the addressbook with a lot of changes if i change it on another machine and export it then import it onto the laptop a lot of the changes dont follow thru for some reason When i click on save is when the fun begins i click on save it goes away supposedly doing it's stuff then exit kaddressbook and it locks solid now i would have thought that it would save the file but it appears not to be . I wonder if i save it then Export it maybe that will save the changes safley but then there is the question of will it import it fully or it's normal miss half the data fashion .
