Re: [opensuse] Is opensuse@opensuse.org == suse-linux-e@suse.com ??
Hi Dominique and all, as I already replied to someone not so long ago regarding this top vs. bottom posting thing... That's how the Yahoo! webmail works. When I hit the "reply (all) " button it doesn't append, for example, a ">" sing to every line as other MUAs do... and I will not do it manually. As for the X-Mailinglist Header; I agree. But I haven't seen that option on the Yahoo! filtering features. not so long ago the email address for the list changed to the new opensuse@opensuse.org. As for the filter... why don't you use the tag "[opensuse]"?

Martin, two things: Top-Posting is not very welcome on this ML. And tagging on Subjects is the worst ever idea people had on Mail-Filtering. The only real clean filters for Mailing-Lists is filtering according the X-Mailinglist Header. Everything else is nonsense. Ok, that's a valid argument in my eyes. I guess nobody would request you to add the quoting signs.
As for the X-Mailinglist Header; I agree. But I haven't seen that
option on
the Yahoo! filtering features.
but for both cases (quoting and X-Headers) ask Yahoo to fix their MUA. How is one supposed to use a broken product? Dominique -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Then why is it that you seem to be the only one using Yahoo that has this problem? Use your cursor keys to move to the bottom of the message before replying, or is that too much work for you? I use Evolution that places the cursor at the top as well and move it before typing. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

As I understand it, he is using the web mail, not a client mail program. The webmail does not prefix lines with ">", so if he answered below we could not distinguish his new text from the old. Yet, it is broken in more than one way: that webmail is also breaking threads. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
