Do you mean that you want to use a win95 or other non-*nix platform to be, or pretend to be, an X server? ... in which case see vnc, or any of the pc Xservers mentioned in other replies Or do you want to run two linux boxes, one of which runs applications while another runs the Xserver for those applications? ... in which case there is a suse package "xdmc" that lets you use one linux box only(?) as an Xserver (I think - I haven't used it mself). ...or you can set things up manually: at the moment I am using a P90 laptop as an Xserver for applications run on a much more powerful machine (PIII 667). At the laptop, I start X-windows, and open a terminal. Then, (assuming the machines' names are 'laptop' and 'biggerbox') do something like: rlogin biggerbox export DISPLAY=laptop:0 kmail & and, hey presto, the kmail application appears on the laptop screen. My laptop is only a P90, but over 10MB ethernet the response is very good. brian -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
