SuSE 9.2 Installed SMP kernel
OS: SuSE 9.2 Pro installed from DVD Hardware: Dell 1600SC with LSI SCSI Controller Just completed install and YoU but noticed kernel is 2.6.8-24.10-smp. While the 1600SC is dual CPU capable, it has only one processor installed. Is this anything to be concerned about? Thank you, Lucky Leavell

Is the CPU a P-4 w/ hyperthreading? PeterB -- -- Proud SUSE user since 5.2 Loving SUSE 9.2 My BLOG == http://vancampen.org/blog --

Well, if you decide to install another cpu, your set. :) I've run smp kernels on single cpu motherboards with no problems. In fact, there was one kernel (not suse) where I had to run the smp because the regular kernel wouldn't work for me (on a single cpu motherboard). Doug
